Long, thin and easy to ruin
A taper candle's failure modes are specific: it snaps in the middle under flex, its tip chips at the first hard contact, and a pair rubbing together in transit scuffs the finish off both. The box answers each one, a slim, rigid tube or tray whose length supports the full candle so nothing can flex, with tip clearance built in, and a divided insert holding each taper in its own channel so surfaces never touch.
