What kraft signals on a shelf
Kraft board does marketing before a single word is printed. The brown, slightly rough recycled stock reads natural, small-batch, and made by hand, which is the exact signal most candle makers are reaching for. A glossy white box says factory; kraft says studio.

Printing on kraft
Kraft isn't a blank white sheet, so color behaves differently. Inks sit into the brown rather than on top of a bright base, which mutes them in a way that suits the material. One or two ink colors usually look best: a black or deep-green logo, maybe a second spot color, with the kraft texture showing through.
If you need bright, photographic color, a white-flood underprint is possible, but it covers the very texture that makes kraft worth choosing. Most brands keep it simple.
