Slim product, exact carton
A vape pen is a battery, a cartridge and very little else, so its box is mostly tolerance work: a slim carton with an insert that holds the pen still and centered, presenting it like an instrument when the lid opens. Loose fit is the category's most common packaging failure, a premium device rattling in an oversized carton reads as a knockoff before the customer touches it.

Compliance is regional, and we build to yours
Vape packaging law varies hard by market: child-resistant mechanisms, warning-panel sizes and placement, nicotine statements, batch and traceability codes. Child-resistant carton mechanisms (push-and-slide sleeves, locking tabs) are available where required, and we reserve warning zones in the template at the start so the design is built around them, not defaced by them later. Shelf presence in a crowded case
Vape retail is a glass case of near-identical slim boxes, so differentiation runs on finish: matte black with spot gloss, foil edges, soft-touch lamination that stands out under case lighting at arm's length. A hanging-tab variant puts the same carton on pegs. Interior printing and a magnetic-closure presentation box serve the premium kit tier, borrowing from our rigid box builds.
What is the minimum for a compliant run?
Digital runs from a few hundred units, including CR sleeves. Compliance review of your artwork against your target market is part of prepress, not an extra.
