Tuck Boxes
Straight-tuck and reverse-tuck paperboard cartons that ship flat and fold up in seconds.
Tuck boxes are the workhorse carton: a flat sheet that folds into a box with two tuck-in ends, no glue needed on your side.
- Straight-tuck for shelf display, reverse-tuck for cheaper assembly
- 14pt to 18pt SBS, kraft or recycled board
- Ships flat and knocked down to save on freight and storage
- Free structural dieline and a printed proof before the run
We cut them to your exact size and print them full-color, so a retail line or a subscription insert all matches without a warehouse full of stock.
“Our cakes travel 40 minutes across town and arrive looking like they left the counter. The window boxes sell them before anyone opens the lid.”
“The bracelet boxes with the foil logo changed how our pieces photograph. Customers post the box as much as the jewelry.”
Straight tuck or reverse tuck
The two tuck-end styles look almost the same closed, but they behave differently. A straight-tuck box has both flaps folding in from the same side, so the front face stays clean, which is why it suits retail display. A reverse-tuck folds from opposite sides, uses slightly less board, and costs a touch less to make.
If you are not sure, tell us where the box will sit. A shelf-facing product wants straight tuck. A mailer insert or a box seen from the top can take reverse tuck and save money.
Board weight matters more than the print
A 14pt sheet is fine for light contents like cosmetics or a phone case. Once you are past a few ounces, step up to 16pt or 18pt so the box does not bow. Kraft board reads natural and recycled; SBS gives you a bright white surface for color-critical print.
FAQ
Do tuck boxes need glue?
No. They ship die-cut and scored, and you fold the tuck ends closed. Only auto-lock bottoms use a glued seam, done at our end.
What is the smallest order?
Digital runs start low, so you can order a short test run before committing to thousands. For a matching mailer, see product boxes. Get a quote.
