The carton that carries the argument
Toothpaste is sold on claims, whitening, sensitivity, enamel, natural, and the carton is where the claims live. The tube itself curls and crumples from first use; the box is the product's only crisp, flat, front-facing moment. That is why the category keeps the carton despite periodic pushes to drop it: it stacks, it faces, it billboards, and it protects a soft tube from the squeeze damage that makes products unsellable on shelf.
Structure for the shelf and the line
The standard build is a tuck-end carton in recyclable board, sized snug to your tube so nothing rattles, with two merchandising options at the die stage: a standing base for shelf-front placement or a hang tab for pegboard. High-speed filling lines have their own requirements, crash-lock bottoms and glue-flap specs matched to your cartoner, so tell us early if the box is machine-erected.

The natural-brand wave
Indie oral care, tablets, powders, bamboo-charcoal pastes, has reworked the category's look: kraft cartons, one or two ink colors, uncoated stocks. The same tuck-end structure carries it, and jar-based formats cross over to cream box builds. Short digital runs from a few hundred units let a new brand shelf-test before committing to litho volume.
Can you match an existing tube exactly?
Yes, send the filled tube, cap geometry decides the carton's internal clearance, and we cut the die to it. Range variants then share the die with print-only changes.
