Jar Labels
Custom labels for candle, cosmetic and food jars, printed to fit round or straight sides.
Jars curve, so a label that looks flat on screen can pucker on the glass. We print jar labels on stock that wraps clean around candle, cosmetic and food jars, and we set the height to clear the shoulder and the base.
Oil and wax resist the adhesive on a candle jar, so we use a face and glue that stay put through burning and handling.
- Oil- and wax-resistant, made to hold on candle and cosmetic jars
- Die-cut round, oval or square to suit the jar
- Matte, gloss, clear or foil finishes
- Front-and-back or a full wrap, sized to the jar
“Labels that survive a fridge, an ice bath, and a farmers market summer. We tested four suppliers; these were the only ones that did not lift.”
“The valve bags keep our roast fresh and the print quality is better than bags we paid twice as much for. Reorders take one email.”
A flat design on a curved jar
A label that looks square on screen can wrinkle on glass, because a jar curves in two directions near the shoulder and base. The fix is height: keep the label on the straight middle band of the jar and it wraps clean. We set that band for you from the jar's dimensions, so nothing puckers.
Square straight-sided jars are more forgiving; round jars need the label height judged against the curve.
Candles and cosmetics fight the adhesive
Candle jars get warm and carry wax residue; cosmetic jars pick up oils and creams. Both work loose a cheap label. We use an oil-resistant face and an adhesive rated to hold on those surfaces, so the label stays down through burning, handling, and a bathroom shelf.
For the base of a candle, a separate warning label carries the safety text, which keeps the main design clean. Our candles with custom labels page covers that pairing.
Shapes and finishes
Die-cut round for a classic jar, oval for a softer look, or square for straight-sided glass. Finishes run matte for an apothecary feel, gloss for food, clear for the no-label look, or foil for a premium line.
FAQ
Will the label peel on a warm candle jar?
No, the oil-resistant stock and adhesive are chosen to hold on candle and cosmetic jars through normal use and warmth.
What size label fits my jar?
It depends on the jar's straight-side height and circumference. Our measuring guide shows how to find both, and mason-jar volumes are in how many oz in a mason jar.
Round or square labels?
Round or oval for curved jars, square for straight-sided glass. For beverage bottles, see water bottle labels. Get a quote.
