Custom Gift Boxes
Giftable boxes with ribbons, lids and finishes that feel like a present.
A gift box should feel like a gift before it is even opened. We build boxes with proper lids, ribbon pulls and finishes that make the packaging part of the present.
- Rigid or folding-carton construction
- Ribbon pulls, magnetic lids and printed tissue
- Foil stamping and embossing for a tactile finish
- Fitted inserts so the contents sit perfectly
Choose a rigid setup box for a premium feel or a folding carton for volume runs and seasonal promos.
“The magnetic boxes are the nicest thing about our subscription, and I say that as the person who makes the product. Zero damage across 3,000 shipments.”
“Labels that survive a fridge, an ice bath, and a farmers market summer. We tested four suppliers; these were the only ones that did not lift.”
Rigid or folding: the only real fork
Every gift box decision branches from one question: is the box part of the gift, or transport for it? If the box will be kept, go rigid: wrapped greyboard, a proper lid, weight in the hand. If the box moves volume, seasonal promo bundles, corporate sends in the hundreds, retail gift-with-purchase, a folding carton in 18pt to 24pt board with the right finish gets you most of the look at a fraction of the unit cost, and it ships flat.
Plenty of brands run both: rigid for the flagship set, folding for the seasonal push. Nothing stops you matching the artwork across the two.
The extras that read as effort
Three additions do most of the work. Ribbon, either a pull tab or a full bow band, is the strongest single signal that something is a present. Printed tissue paper adds an unwrapping step inside the box, and it costs cents. A fitted insert holds a set in place; nothing deflates a gift like contents that have shifted and jumbled in transit.
Foil stamping on the lid, a satin interior lining and a magnetic closure stack on top when the price point supports them. See the magnetic closure box page for how that mechanism works.
Order timing for seasonal runs
Gift packaging is deadline work. Rigid boxes are hand-wrapped, so allow about 14 days production plus shipping; folding cartons run faster. For Q4, artwork approved by late September is comfortable and late October is the practical cutoff for rigid work at volume. We hold dies from previous years, so reorders skip tooling and shave a week off the schedule.
Can you fill and ship the boxes for us?
We supply flat or assembled boxes, but we do not co-pack. Most clients have their fulfilment house or 3PL do the filling.
Do you do mixed-size sets?
Yes. Nesting sets, where three sizes stack inside each other, share wrap and tooling efficiently and are a common order for retail gifting programs.
