Amazon rejects a shipment when the FNSKU will not scan, so the label matters as much as the product. We print FBA labels inside Amazon's size range, on stock that scans first time and peels off the old barcode cleanly.

Order them on 30-up laser sheets for a small batch, or on thermal rolls if you run a label printer at volume.

Labels that survive a fridge, an ice bath, and a farmers market summer. We tested four suppliers; these were the only ones that did not lift.

Low minimums were the whole reason we tried them. 250 pouches to test a flavor, then 5,000 when it took off — same bag, same print, no drama.

Why the label is the whole job

Amazon receives inventory by scanning a barcode, not by reading the product. If the FNSKU will not scan, the unit gets flagged, and a whole shipment can stall at the fulfillment center. So an FBA label has one job that it has to do every time: scan clean on the first pass.

That comes down to three things: the right size, print that does not smudge, and adhesive that sticks flat over the old barcode.

Size and format Amazon accepts

Amazon asks for labels between 1×2 inches and 2×3 inches. The common layout is the 30-up sheet at 1×2.625 inches, the same grid as an Avery 5160, which prints thirty labels to a laser sheet. If you run a thermal label printer, a 2.25×1.25 inch roll does the same job without a toner cartridge.

Whatever the size, print on thermal or laser stock. Inkjet smears under a scanner and under warehouse handling, and a smeared barcode is a rejected unit. Our guide to Amazon FBA label requirements walks through placement and the mistakes that get shipments held.

One label, one unit, over the old code

Every sellable unit needs its own FNSKU label, and it has to cover any existing manufacturer barcode so the scanner does not read two codes and get confused. Removable adhesive lets you do that without wrecking the retail packaging underneath.

FAQ

Can I print FBA labels on a normal inkjet?

No. Inkjet ink smudges and fails the scan. Use a laser printer with sheet labels, or a thermal printer with roll labels.

What size does Amazon require?

Between 1×2 and 2×3 inches. The 30-up 1×2.625 inch sheet is the usual pick; thermal rolls at 2.25×1.25 inch also qualify.

Do I need a label on every item?

Yes, one FNSKU per sellable unit, placed over the manufacturer barcode. Shipping in bubble mailers? We can print both together. Get a quote.
